2 tbspoon oil.
1 bay leaf
1 tsp black cumin (shahi jeera)
4 tbspoon finely chopped khova
1.5 tbspoon dried/roasted fenugreek leaves
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp garam masala
2 baldes of star anise = crushed
One cup milk
1 medium sized onion.
3/4 inch ginger
4-5 flakes of garlic.
Seeds of 3 green cardamon.
Seeds of 2 black cardamon
1 inch cinnamon
200 gms tomato puree
3 tbspoon cashewnuts
Heat oil in the fry pan, add bay leaf and black cumin, stirr for 2-3 minutes on low flame.
Add onion paste. Cook till golden brown.
Add tomato paste. Stir for 8-10 minutes or till dry.
Add Khoa, kasuri methi, salt , garam masala, and blades of star anise. Cook for 4-5 minutes. Add 1 cup water. Boil and simmer for 4-5 minutes.
Remove from heat and allow to cool for 10 minutes. At serving time, add one cup milk and boil on low heat. Add paneer (if fresh no need to fry, otherwise fry with 1 tsp of butter, till soft)
