Vrat wali Tomato Chutney


2 Tea spoon Oil / Clarified Butter
3/4 tea spoon Cumin Seeds / Sabut Jeera
5-6 black peppercorns
Ripe tomatoes 250 grams, chop into slices.
2 Green Chillies / Hari Mirch finely chopped
1.5 tsp Ginger / Adrak finely chopped (Optional)
2 tea spoon Sugar
1 tea spoon Red Chilli powder / Laal mirch powder
Sendha Namak (Fasting Salt) to taste

1. Heat ghee/oil in a kadhai or heavy bottomed pan.
2. Add whole black pepper and cumin seeds ,when it starts crackling add finely chopped green chillies and try on medium heat for 30-40 seconds.

3. Lower the heat to minimum, add red chilli powder and stir for 10-15 seconds.IMG_0479

6. Mix well.
7. Cook it covered 5-6 minutes.
