Daal Makhni with Veg Fried Rice

Soak 200 gms of Black urad daal and 50 gms of Kidney beans overnight and cook in the pressure cooker till becomes soft
1Take two tablespoon oil in a kadhai
2Add 1.5 tsp cumin seeds and wait till crackle 3  

Add 2 tbspoon ginger garlic paste 4a nd fry on low heat till golden brown

Add 200 gms of tomato puree and fry on low heat till becomes absolutely dry5
Two and a half  6 tsp red chili powder, 2 tsp coriander powder, 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1.5  tsp garam masala     powder

Add all the dry masalas, fry on low flame for 4-5 minutes and then add 100 gms butter and wait till butter melts completely (on low flame)
8 9 Add the boiled daal, mix well, add enough water and cook for 45 minutes (yes 45 minutes 🙂 )

10Add 50 ml fresh cream, mix well and cook for another 10 minutes on low flame 11
For rice, soak basmati rice (2 cups) in water for 30 minutes
1 Cook in a open vessel till rice are 95% done 2 

3You can see, each grain of rice can be separated

4For frying the rice, add 2 tbspoon of oil in a woke and crackle 2 tsp of cumin seeds
5Add 2 medium onions finely chopped, 1 big capsicum, 2 carrots finely chopped , 1 cup green peas and salt to taste
6 Once the vegetable are 80% cooked (fry on high flame), add to the rice (I dont have a big woke so I fried part by part)

7Serve hot Daal Makhni with veg fried rice???????????????????????????????
